There's nothing quite like drifting slowly awake in the morning, warm and comfortable in bed, and realizing you can hear the distant sound of your cat's digestive system going into reverse.
The heaving noises went on forever. It sounded as though he was barfing up a mahogany bedroom set, two bicycles, and a keg of beef barley soup.
But when I finally got up and went looking for the puddle to clean it up, I couldn't find it.
I'm frightened.
